Some of us are more sensitive to the de-valuation and non or delayed payments by Russia. Also the Asia thing domino possibility. My guess is that the US economy and the economics of the world as far as western and eastern Europe are more than strong enough to absorb the bumper car effect of Russia. The devaluation of the Russian currency can extend into western Europe particularly with the missed payments. As you know, much oil flows into western Europe from Russia and it's sister countries that were the USSR and is paid for in American dollars. I am not concerned by that because most all countries are paying for petrol with dollars. Even some of the oil from Libya to Spain and France is backed by US dollars.

The complete collapse of Asia and Russia would affect the US but only after the collapse of Brazil and Argentina. Even then, it would have to have the collapse of the pound in the UK and weakness in western europe. I don't see conditions at this time causing or even acting as a catalyst causing the major world problem you alluded to.

I am concerned with India and Pakistan. They will tangle over Kashmir. Probably regular arms. They won't nuke each other but they will war as you know. Very shortly actually.

Now what does all of this have to do with WCII ? I don't think world events will affect, in any meaningful manner, the rise and fall of WCII. Nor Clinton admitting to an affair with Monica. The poor bastard has to deal with his wife first, then sadly his daughter. Well, daughter first actually.

I guess Limtex, I don't agree with your concerns. However, you presenting them made me think about the possibilities.
