It appears as I reflect over this past 1 1/2 a company that was totally out of control, producing product at an outrageous, almost admirable, volume, yet not knowing where they were heading. That heading was directly into the most powerful drug ever launched,viagra. Their reaction, was pathetic, creating a sales force, an advertising program, and a buy back stock program, all to no avail. Sales decreased, stock price decreased, and their bank account all showed the results of bad decisions, by bad management. Now, however this management team has an opportunity to redeem themselves, move this company onto a steady course, follow a plan without reacting, but acting in a responsible orderly manor. I see this happening now. They have calmed the seas, holding the rudder with a firm grip, looking to ports where they can sell there product, compete for market share, but the seas are fickle and a storm an occur anytime. This will be the final test, can they endure, make the proper decisions, lets hope they set the sails with the wind at their backs. |
