I have had MOT stock, and have also been very tempted. I however feel that Motorolla mgmt is very poor. Galvin is a moron, and is running this company into the ground. I would never buy a company with a CEO who I thought was Inept. I think that the Star-tac and Motorolla name is still the mercedes of the industry. Yet they are so far behind that I think the new Qphone and Nokia's fantastic products have closed the quality Gap. I would tend to stay away, despite the fact that it might have some upside potential. In the long run Motorolla will be bought or merged unless MGMT overhaul occurs very soon. I think that 3com at this level(23-27) will be a more importent player with the advent of smartphones. Obviously Q and Nokia are the best, I would also shy from Erickson.
