Vlad; << There are certain variables of tracking drug scripts that make Viagra different than a drug that a patient gets on and stays on daily for a prolonged period of time eg Prozac. Each individual will use Viagra with differing frequencies so only averages will be significant.>>

V-man: Nice observations. However, it is probably a little too early to figure out the relationships between Viagra new Rxs and refills due to the variability of consumption time as you mentioned. Since Viagra is an "as needed" drug, an Rx of 8.5 tablets could last 2 weeks to 2 months.

An ED efficacy rate of anywhere from 50% to 80% for an oral medication is still absolutely amazing. No one including the PFE scientists expected a 100% success rate or even an 85% rate. ED is much too complex a condition.

The good news for PFErs is the continuing growth of Viagra refills. The refills reported today for the week ending August 7th were the highest level ever and represented 95% of the new Rx level. This ratio has continued to increase for almost every week since the Viagra launch. I would anticipate it could grow to 150% before leveling off.

V-man, you are starting to think like a PFEr! Watch out, you might get hooked. PFE below 100 last week was an absolute steal. With European approval of Viagra less than a month away, Celebra news approaching, and the general market starting to show bullish signs, PFE may regain its momentum starting this week.

Don't just be aMUSEd...have PFun!
