Deutsche Telekom AG Purchases Gentner AP800s
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentner Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: GTNR - news) today announced the sale of multiple AP800 audioconferencing systems to Deutsche Telekom AG [NYSE:DT - news], Europe's largest telecommunications company and the third largest carrier worldwide.
Deutsche Telekom will use the AP800s for the audio portion of a BusinessTV Interactive system it is designing and installing for one of its corporate clients, Daimler-Benz. The AP800s will be placed in Daimler-Benz' corporate and satellite office conference rooms.
''Deutsche Telekom needed state-of-the-art audio to work hand-in-hand with its entire BusinessTV Interactive system,'' states Jan Wintersberg of BCI, the master distributor for Gentner products in Germany and surrounding areas. ''The AP800 provided the perfect solution. It integrates seamlessly into BusinessTV Interactive systems just as well as it works as for the audio portion of videoconferencing, or for stand-alone audioconferencing or teleconferencing systems.''
The AP800, released in April, is receiving international recognition as the audioconferencing solution for multiple applications including BusinessTV, corporate conference rooms, distance learning settings, and videoconferencing integration. The driving technology behind the AP800 is its Distributed Echo Cancellation(TM), which allows each microphone input in a system to screen out noise and room echo.
