Dear Mark;

It is an error to take a few verses literally. You must look at the Bible as a whole and that is a literal truth. Were there is apparent contradiction I would suggest that it is our understanding which is incomplete.

God makes a definitive statement through the prophet Isaiah that there are no God's but himself. Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Many New Age believers have tried to use the verses you quote. I do not wish to go into Hebrew meanings with you however what has been shared with you is true. Yeshua was referring to Judges that were inspired by God in the passage from Jn 10:34. It is important when reading scripture to try and determine what God is saying there, not what we want to hear. Isaiah makes the point clearly, know, believe, and understand that there are and will never be any other God's but the God of Israel.

In Yeshua's love for you - DLL
