HI Don
I am not trying to take a few passages literally. I take none of them literally, or all. I think anything in between would mnot make sense.
A question, if we have to try and determine what he is saying, then it is open to intepretation. How can we take that literally, when so many will interpret differently? How can we take it literally when God left it to translations, which by definition will change meanings? Why then didnt God give us these words in all languages, sl that all will be able to understand equally, with the same meaning?
Again, I am not asking this to prove you wrong, or even attempt to do so. I am asking because I want to know, and I want to question both of our beliefs in a healthy exchange of ideas.
