No, I'm a systems engineer, right now working on satellite systems. In the past I worked on computer architecture for a high speed number-crusher.

One aspect of the RAMBUS technology that Tom's Hardware didn't mention, was that it will benefit the Intel Katmai architecture. Since the Katmai registers are 128 bytes long, a high bandwidth is necessary to fill them quickly. However, Intel will be surprised on how little this benefits 90% of applications. They certainly will invent a new benchmark to show the benefit of KNI and RAMBUS.
