Mike, Yes I know stock prices reflect the perceived future direction of the company rather than past or present circumstances. Many a time we have seen high flying companies drop on an appearently excellent earnings number because it is believed all the good news is out or a down and out stock rise on a massively negative earnings number because it is felt all the bad news is out. It is based on the company's statements (or analysts or funds) of the future direction of the company. As to 5 years from now they gain control of the sales force if they wish, that is a positive in the bank. However, I only see it as a footnote to any upward bias for the stock in the next year or 2.
