Proformix Ergonomic Management System(TM) (EMS) is a comprehensive
ergonomic and productivity improving software system comprised of
two basic products:
ErgoSure and ErgoSentry.
ErgoSure(TM) is used to assess ergonomic risk and make recommendations to reduce that risk.
ErgoSentry counts a user's keystrokes and mouse movements against time, alerting the user of when to take a micro break in order to maintain their peak productivity rate and minimize their risk
of repetitive stress injuries.
ErgoSentry(TM) is also a training tool, recommending stretching and exercise regimens according to the exceeded, administrator-determined, keystroke and/or mouse movement thresholds.
Hardware
The Pre-Set Tiltdown is a patented keyboarding system that puts the
hands and wrists in neutral, low-risk positions for keying at the precise angle of negative keyboard slope. As a result, users make fewer fatigue mistakes, may work longer,and with greatly reduced risk of incurring painful repetitive stress injuries.
The IntelliTray is a similar patent-pending keyboarding system that
incorporates a 0Cirque Technologies' GlidePad(TM) pointing device for use instead of a mouse.
The Ergonomics Technical Advisory Group of the Wilkes-Barre, PA
VeteransAdministration Medical Center recently earned Vice President Al Gore's"Hammer/Scissor Award" for implementation of a highly-successful ergonomics program after installing 70 Pre-Set Tiltdown systems.
The award was given to the group as part of the Vice President's National Performance Review --a program designed to encourage government employees to save tax dollars through creative thinking, cost containment, and performance enhancement efforts.
