But Jon,

The point is moot whether or not the float increases or doesn't increase with QTNT.

Yes, most people recently bought this because they thought they could move a float of 700K up to $1 or $2.

Well its not 700K, and its more like 2 million.

But you know what I've learned trading stocks?

Most of the time IR/PR/ even CEO's don't even know what the hell "FLOAT" means.

However, everyone understands "outstanding shares"... Presidents aren't watching to see how many shares come off restriction into the float on a daily basis... but they DO know how many shares they are printing.

As for MM's shorting stocks... I would say look at DGIV when it was just above $1.00... lots of buys, no movement, over several days...then one day a huge jump to $3... That's right...HUGE.

Look at the chart...note... it doesn't coinicde with any "news event"

DCTC, same thing... was trading between 1.40 - 1.53 for 3 weeks... great news, great buying, no movement... one day, on no news, blasted above $2 to $2.25.

All I want is a figure for this disgruntled officer shares...if its low, we are in a MM short situation.

The only thing you can do is hold. (or call in your shares)

Until the news builds up, or so many people buy shares that they have to cover.

They have time on their sides... they want to "bore" you out of your position...if they can get enough shares out of you, they will rapidly move up the share price... (when they do this, NOTE, they DO NOT let a lot of people buy stock on the rise up..small buys and RAPID upswing)

Why? Because then they can do the same thing over in the future when there is a lull in volume.

By the way, don't confuse these examples with stocks that fall because actually SELLING takes place.

These MM short scenarios are very rare events that I have witnessed..and the sad thing is everyone in every stock believes there is a huge conspiracy or short position in their stock. Well it just isn't true. From my experience, it is a very rare occurence... but a gold mine, when you find one at the right level.

Anyway, do what you have to do, of course. But I am holding all shares. And will buy a lot more if I find out "disgruntled officer guy" has a low amount of shares that he's suing over.
