The gist is, as you say, a California woman who racked up a substantial sum gambling in cybercasinos using several credit cards. She refuses to pay the card companies, saying that gambling is illegal in California. Here is an excerpt from the story:

Well, these people obviously haven't heard of WINR. The reason this won't be a problem for WINR, James, is because there will be no direct credit card payment to the casinos under the WINR system. A gambler may fund his Winners Debit Card Account with a credit card, but the casino will never see a Visa, Mastercard, etc. Nothing illegal about using your Visa to fund a debit account. Then, the gambler will draw on his Winners Debit Card to pay for his losses. Get it.
Once again, news that seemingly spells the end of internet gaming is in reality good news for WINR.
