I don't understand the purpose of ANY of the posts by LONGonDELL.

I used to read and post frequently on Silicon Investor. SI no longer seems relevant to real investment because of these types of posts.

Perhaps it is just me, but it seems that most of this site has become back fence gossip: a bunch of small change novices swapping unfunny YMCA type comments.

In the instance of CPQ, the company is far different from what it was 18 months ago. I don't know if it is meaningful to compare it with Dell? I see it more in competition with IBM. Are PC sales the real revenue/profit driver these days? And how are the element(s) of the merger going?

Re: Dell, can you really project out a discounted cash flow number to justify the current stock price without presuming that most of the other PC makers go out of business?

I'd love to see some insight rather than ex post facto reports of stock and option prices.
