Re: ".. However, his job approval rating remains as high as ever..."

IMHO, (current disgrace aside) this president (& probably most presidents) was getting far too much credit for the state of the economy & budget. He governs (& makes concession speeches) strictly by the results of polls. He eventually realized that he would have little leverage on the budget if he continued to oppose the Republicans. He therefore, adopted most of their budget policy & neatly stole credit for same. The Republican congress is still trying to figure that one out.

If the economy was not doing so well, his job approval rating would be in the same place that he deserves to be, i.e. in the gutter.

"My administration will be the most "ethical" one ever..." He does not even know what the word means. He needs some professional counseling (& not from hooker).

My sympathy is with his daughter- & his loyal staff members who were made to look like fools these last 7 months.

This is a sad time in American presidential history - a President who can no longer be trusted to speak the truth. Even his Democratic congressional supporters are in seclusion.

End-of-speech.
