Xy lophone, that is why plants are being "mothballed", to stabilize future prices... Wall street knows that there is still some pain for that long term gain.. The Japaneese and the the koreans will stabilize the mkt... By 1998(mid ) prices should be at their record levels....it is an easy problem to fix.....control the supply....Debeers has been doing this for years....There are so many millions of carats in vaults but yet you pay through your teeth for that ring....It is a breakthrough that the Koreans and Japaneese have finally faced reality and decided to stop "flooding the mkts". If you flooded the mkt on anything then prices will come down and the losers shall outnumber the winners...If production is cut back enough then prices will soar again, that simple..
