I didn't think that there were any "sides" at Open Text. I
could see maybe some issues around recent acquisitions, but
they are not like PCDOCS in which there are separate internal
companies (like FULCRUM). I would say that any sane company
would always evaluate their technology and be big enough to
use other technology if it was the best. My impression is that
the search engine that OTEXF has is still the best and you
benifit by having one company own all the technology. Those
companies that license say VERITY are at the whim of that company
and it is harder to do cool things.
