I believe that Clinton said what he had to and no more. I did like his attack on Ken Star and the fact that too much money has been spent on the investigation. We all knew that Clinton was no alter boy or boy scout before he became president. President Clintonova will now go on with business as usual. The american people are fed up with the soap opera and want to be rid of it.

Business as usual? Who's the next intern?

But character doesn't matter, right? Unless you're a conservative like Packwood or Thomas. I must be wrong though, because we were promised The Most Ethical Administration Ever. It's so funny. The man with his finger on The Button would never be able to get a Top Secret clearance due to the blackmail potential of his past (and current?) sexual conduct. His own mouth said that he's willing to lie to save embarrassment (of course this is also a lie as the real reason he lied was avoid monetary damages in the Paula Jones suit). What else is he willing to lie about, and what has he? And don't forget the campaign finance scandal that Reno's still stonewalling for him, or the 1,100+ FBI File felonies that he got away with.

As far as the money goes, well, the last seven months and however many millions were spent are the direct fault of The First Liar, don't you think? If he told the truth initially then Starr wouldn't have had to spend that money to dig it out, fighting the continual lies and attacks from the White House, such as Carvell (sp?) threatening his kneecaps. If you're really concerned about the money then have Klintoon pay to defer the costs of the investigation, just as Gingrich was forced to do over the book deal (which, BTW, he apologized for too).

I really can't believe that people are willing to forgive someone who told three baldface lies under oath in a lawsuit against him just because he apologized:

1) I did not have a sexual relationship with her.
2) I don't remember if I ever touched her.
3) I don't remember if I've ever been in a room alone with her.

Try this yourself the next time you file your taxes "under penalty of perjury" and see if the IRS will accept your apology for not reporting income, especially if you spend seven months denying it and calling the IRS investigator names.

The only reason he's partially telling the truth now is because of irrefutable physical evidence: the blue Gap dress with the Presidential Seal of Approval. Without this he'd continue to lie because it would just be a He-Said-She-Said.

In a city of scum this guy's one of the worst.
