I think you will always have sides unless human beings have morphed into another, finer, thing... From where I stand the value is not in search engine technology, it is what you do with it. It may be that there are folks on either side of this line at OTEXF, or DOCSF, that take exception with directions and investment decisions made on the other side of the line. Who knows. Does OTEXF split out major sources of revenue? I'd like to see what the search engine specific business is versus the collaboration software business. Re PCDOCS, I believe they have made major strides in a very short period of time to function as one company. I don't think they are too much different perhaps than OTEXF in this regard, based on what I've seen. That's a good feat of change management and integration of purpose. Could be interesting.
