put your money but in safe havens?' "

Captain Kirk: This is truly an important point you make and con-
sistent with Ockham's (Occam's) razor: non sunt multiplicanda
entia praeter necessitatem
(entities are not to be multiplied
beyond necessity). The simplest explanations are often the best.

Anxiety ridden foreign money, indeed, would gravitate toward safe
havens. To be sure, at this juncture in history, the US may come
closest to resembling the selfsame nation that emerged relatively
unscathed from the rubble of World War II, i.e., the world's only
superpower.

Furthermore, if I had received a nickel since 1991 for every time
I have heard the refrain from young and old alike that- "the stock
market is the only game in town; where else can your money make
decent returns?"- I'd have amassed a considerable sum to this point.

Perhaps, after all is said and done, it is just that simple.
