Carroll (2057 ) From: Bulldozer Monday, Aug 17 1998 4:37PM ET Reply # of 2058 Not that it matters if its Cisco or Ascend, but good news from Cisco means good news for PMCS. I thought Ascend was outselling Cisco, but I guess the size of Cisco's installed base and the accompanying add-ons and upgrades translates into leading market share. Ascend is probably winning a fair amount of new business due to the release of their next generation WAN equipment (GX 550, CBX 500 etc.) vs. Cisco being a little behind in getting next gen carrier class BPXs & IGXs out. Looks like the LAN Lightstreams are doing well though. Either way, PMCS chips go out the door with them all.
