Genesys is quite surprised that their stock is still so low. They understand that they need to expand margins in order to get the stock going. McCloskey is an operations guy and looks quite competent in this respect. $45 by year end, will we make it?? It is still my biggest position although the appreciation of some others is catching up. I am quite confident in Genesys' prospects for the balance of the year. I think some of the problems with the stock include 1) mgt is pretty low-key (including McCloskey) since they are not ready to pump the stock and have mo-mo players jump in; 2) it is plain hard to understand Genesys (somewhere in between enterprise sofware and telephony software) and 2) Geotel is still getting alot of the limelight. I think that as mgt starts to become vocal about some wins (including some to-be-announced carrier wins) and they post strong numbers over the next two Q's, the stock will take care of itself. BTW, the float is still pretty small so some bigger institutional players probably have not spent time looking at the company.
