A young lad on the corner just happened to be selling bags, and she promptly bought two of them and wrapped the chicken up in the first one and double wrapped it in the second. That would keep the breasts from thawing any farther!!

Then she sat on the corner and waited for a car to stop to take her to Omaha. Ten hours later, she was still there; the sun had gone down; she was sleeping peacefully. Autumn leaves scampered around her body, rustling as they droned on with their endless autumnal chatter. And Emily slept on--her little hand clutched tightly about a white bag held against her breast.

Out of the falling darkness, a pair of malignant eyes glared at the innocent damosel...
