This is basically what one of my lawyers told me regarding Canada. He put it as "one of the persons being taped must know" and showed me his telephone and how he tapes conversations with clients.

Also just recently I was "interviewed" on the telephone by the Globe and Mail. It was not until a week later that I found out that the reporter had taped the conversation and made a transcript of it. I would assume that the G&M would be current on the Canadian laws and is not breaking them.
