FELLOW CTEC INVESTORS:

I have been informed that CTEC was late in making an SEC filing and the late filing is the the reason E has been added to its normal symbol.

CTEC has several strengths (the waiver, little competition at the present time), but has also displayed some weaknesses (missing its quarterly earnings estimate, the costs incurred with the withdrawn stock offering, and now the late SEC filing).

I am now somewhat disillusioned with CTEC in the short run, but I believe its primary product will once again be a long term win. I do not have an opinion about the projected increased manufacturing capacity at this time, although it appears to be reasonable if CTEC wants to expand its markets before competition can make entry into the cholesterol testing business.

I also like Cholestec's planning to enter other related medical testing areas using the same blood that is drawn for the cholesterol tests, but I have no hard information about this matter. Simply put, I don't know how scientifically and financially practical this would be.

I solicit your opinions on anything I have written.
