C'mon Islander... let's have the whole quote...there are 2 parts to the statement, not just the price drops, but why.... From Smart Money smartmoney.com ""One figure sure to garner a lot of attention is average selling prices. Piper Jaffray Inc. analyst Ashok Kumar thinks the average price of a Dell PC fell to $2,350 in the July quarter from $2,500 three months earlier. Dell, which sells directly to customers and thus keeps little inventory, has capitalized on the falling prices of PC components like chips and disk drives. The company has attributed the decline in average selling prices for PCs to lower prices for these computer parts."
