Just an FYI, The Dell model is based on a complex implementation of mfg software, supply chain mgmt automation etc. which is a proprietary solution developed and owned by only Dell. I was looking into setting up something similar for Power Computing across the street and my estimate was a 3+ year endeavor to get the bare bones operational. This without complex logistical optimization/hub and spoke etc. (in other words a much simpler model). I think some of Moores books skip infrastructure technologies as a topic and then people think they dont matter. Too bad for them. Michelle
