I was wondering when someone would pay some attention to this crumbling currency. The Can$ seems to weaken when there's bad news anywhere. When there's good news it also seems to weaken. The most common explanation is that it's weak commodity prices. As Asia weakens, so does Canada, although I'm not exactly sure why.

The nervousness in the Canadian dollar tells me that problems in Asia are not over yet. Maybe that's predicting the horse by looking at the
cart, but I've seen stranger methods of predicting these markets.

Any insights into the Canadian dollar are welcome. I will start checking SI more often. I tend to check the threads less often when I'm losing money.
