JTL - didn't Janet Reno appoint Starr? At least someone on this thread just said so. All in all I wonder if Clinton isn't finished - he may carry on but he is so weakened he may in fact resign, or be forced out by his party. All will be watching the polls closely in the next little while. There are so many problems abroad that the standing of the States is jeopardised, and in the case of the Presidency ridiculed - especially in the Muslim world where adultery would be punished in some countries by being stoned to death. If this seems an about face, so be it, but I saw the statement repeated on TV tonight and felt that the odds facing Clinton may be overwhelming. E
