You can argue that the insiders did not have time to sell and were caught unaware. Still, they should have known before anyone else that the break between Sun and Ross would result in a down-turn in the stock price. As to Sun not exercising buy options the two companies are now rivals in the work station market not allies, despite Ross's press releases to the contrary! Sun has no reason to wish Ross well anymore.
Regardless, the deed is done and the question now is will Fujitsu support a technologically sound company with a killer product in the pipline or choose to loose hundreds of millions of dollars? And what about Roger Ross? He is gambling his entire fortune, company and career on this move. His employees also hold a major stake in the company.
Even if one forgets about the great fundamentals, i.e. pe= 6.8 price to book = .83 price to sales ratio =<0.5 I would buy this stock for the romance and drama alone!! Many corporate heads will roll if this company fails! Roger Ross will be personally ruined and discraced! The halls of Fujitsu will be littlered with the bodies of those forced to commit hari-kiri!!
Does anyone really think this stock could go down? The upside potential for this one is truly staggering.
