Last I looked, AAPL in it's entirety had 4%
of the PC market

Then it's time you looked again. According to PCData's report released 3 weeks ago, Apple's market share jumped from 4.1% in Q1 to 9.4% in Q2 ending June.

I have a feeling that the volume IMAC will sell
compared to the volume CPQ does in it's consumer
business might indicate that it would not be worth
the trouble for CPQ to even go after the MAC.

Apple's got 150,000 pre-orders for this unit. Some industry wags suggest that Apple could have as many as 400,000 in consumer's hands by December. Was this what you meant by volume?
