Eagle USA Selected as Local Transportation Partner for Compaq
HOUSTON, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Eagle USA Airfreight, Inc. (Nasdaq: EUSA - news), announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Eagle Freight Services, Inc. has been named the local Houston logistics partner for Houston-based Compaq Computer Corporation [NYSE:CPQ - news]. Under the expected new three-year contract, Eagle will continue to serve as Compaq's local dedicated fleet operator responsible for managing various aspects of the local pickup and delivery operation, including dispatching, equipment, route planning, cost control, information systems management and security.
Under an existing five-year agreement, Eagle continues to act as the primary carrier for Compaq's domestic heavyweight air freight shipments.
