InterJetNet Corp. Begins Construction On Two-Way, High-Speed Wireless Internet Access System in Houston, Texas
August 19, 1998
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE) via NewsEdge Corporation -- InterJetNet Corporation (OTC BB:IJNT) announced today that it has begun construction to bring two-way, high-speed wireless Internet access to Houston, Texas. The Company's director of engineering, Michael Paolini, is currently in Houston finalizing the specifics for the new tower site where the additional equipment will be housed.
IJNT first entered the Houston Internet market in January 1998 through the acquisition of Access Communications, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) with approximately 2,000 subscribers. This was a strategic move for the Company that enabled it to target the 4 million people living in Houston, the largest city in Texas and the fourth largest city in the United States.
"Although simultaneously building our two-way, high-speed systems in both Orange County, California and Houston may sound ambitious, we are confident that our efforts are well founded with a presence and trained staff on hand at both locations," explained Daniel Cook, IJNT's chief information officer.
John Amenson, district sales manager at IJNT's Houston office, added, "We are anxious to initiate plans that will enable us to provide these cutting-edge services to the local business community here in Houston. We also view the timing of this expansion as a friendly challenge to try to complete our project ahead of the Orange County office."
As a Web development, design, and hosting firm, IJNT offers creative talent and business marketing strategies to the business community. Full ISP services will be available with the two-way, high-speed internet access as a fast, efficient, and reliable connection. These services will include corporate e-mail solutions, tools to expand marketing success through web development, website design and hosting, and corporate solutions for the Internet and Intranet.
InterJetNet Corporation provides high speed internet access and service to homes and businesses without the use of phone lines. InterJetNet's subscriber base is rapidly growing and expected to exceed 10,000 by the end of 1998 as the Company expands into markets worldwide. The Company's rapid growth is the result of aggressive marketing and sales, internal development, acquisitions, and strategic alliances. InterJetNet is currently in the process of changing its name to IJNT International.
