RESEARCH ALERT - American Home named focus stock Wednesday August 19, 9:24 am Eastern Time NEW YORK, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Merrill Lynch said Wednesday it named American Home Products (AHP - news) focus stock of the week and upgraded the company's rating to a buy from an accumulate. --Merrill said in a release it raised the company rating because it expects the company to have an average 16 percent earnings growth over the next five years, the stock is cheap, the company has a promising new product pipeline and great potential significantly save cost in its merger with Monsanto.
