michael,

Just got a call: TFS opened down $5.50. Ouch.

Sounds about right. I am getting very tired of this ever lengthening time horizon. It is getting so my grandchildren will be the beneficiaries.

By the way, I stopped in the local AirTouch store and talked with the manager about phones. By far the best seller now: The Qualcom with the little dial on the left side of the phone ... I think she said it is the Mod. 620. She commented that the MOT StarTak is so small that a number of people have trouble manipulating the buttons or reading the screen. Color would be an enormous help with the screen problem.

I found both items to be a problem. I could easily hit two buttons at once on the StarTak and would get the wrong number. So phone technology has now gone so far that our eyes and fingers, via which we connect with the technology, can not keep up. Reminds me of the calculator situation: a calculator only needs to be about 5mm X 5mm to function, but we could not even see the darned thing if it was not scaled up to the size we can see and poke at with our fingers.

Anyone else notice that with Polaroid glasses you can often not read an LCD screen at all. It just looks blank. With the first signs of cataracts in my eyes, I find Polaroid glasses to be a wonderful relief, but now can not see my phone's screen.
