Oh my, investors are now shuddering with the thought that now LU will not buy Ascend now they have this product out and dumping ASND. Traders will always be traders and never generate wealth because they are too short sighted for tech stocks. Does ATM dominance for ASND mean nothing ? Thats what Lucent wants, not to mention the installed base, not the remote access side of it (which is anyway better than Livingston since it has the most installed ports again). Lucents McGinn has openly said (I read this in a recent analyst report) that their ATM business needs major bulking up. -hitesh
