Early last spring I wrote to Cliff Weber at Amex regarding any plans to offer a unit investment trust stock similar to SPY for the NASDAQ. Following is an excerpt from his update I received this morning:

"We are on track for a 3rd quarter launch of additional "Index Shares" on as many as 10 domestic sectors, including technology. The early side would be late September, more likely in October. I can't share much more than that right now, but when they start to roll out, you should hear through ads/media/etc."
