How does Canada, France, Russia, Japan, India, UK, Brazil, Mexico and Iraq perceive us now that we've obsessed over this matter for 7 months?

Why should we give a damn how we are perceived by the third world?

Are we a RICHER or a POORER nation because of it?

Richer. Nations ruled by corrupt regimes are almost invariably poor.

Would we be a RICHER or a POORER nation if we now moved on to the REALLY BIG PROBLEMS facing our world?

Poorer. Just a recent example, we've wasted tens of billions on Asia, and the situation only got worse.

In TWENTY YEARS will we regret that we didn't use our time more productively?

Yes, if we don't take steps to eliminate corruption in the highest echelons of our government.

Has it driven our nation apart? And is this a good thing?

I don't think so, except perhaps for the lunatic fringe. You know, these women who want to give it to Clinton for keeping abortions legal.
