RE lawsuits: don't infer anything. There WILL be lawsuits re Cien/Tlab. Guaranteed. It used to be that the first to file was the class action atty of record and automatically got the lin's share of fees. Reform a couple years ago changed that. Now lawyers don't file as quickly, but they do want to sign up as many plaintiffs as possible to have a larger share of the fees, since fees are allocated now based on # of people represented.

In any case there are ALWAYS class action suits when a stock drops this much and the NYT and WSJ articles will almost certainly fuel that.
