Paul E. re; <It's another stick you could swing, along with your "AMD/Cyrix sub $1000 PCs are gonna kill Intel".> First of all, I don't own any AMD stock, you do. Appears to be a smart move on your part. ;-) Doubt if either of us have NSM, a real dog. I feel sorry for Brian, smart guy but maybe he should have stayed at LSI. My Intel shares move up and down the same percent as your's, (wish I held as much as you). You continue to be upset when I point out competitive factors in the marketplace. I think iMac could impact the segment-0 market. Cheap, easy to use by the PC illiterates, and tailored to the net. Will the WinTel faction need to react? Is it a big deal? I don't know, but considering where real growth is happening things like these may have inordinate impact on the future. I've said a number of times I think Intel will be a $50 Billion company within five years. Do you disagree? But I'm not sure of the product mix that will generate these revenues. Too many segment-0's, graphics chips, StrongArms, and other appliance parts could change the business profile substantially. Anyway, I'll keep pointing out the competitive factors, you keep deriding them. Add's a little balance. |
