I don't think so. Office is too far ahead of Java in terms of productivity to want to pare it down just to offer an app that runs on an additional 8% of the desktops.

Or I don't have the time to dig up exact links for the MSFT discussion board, just like you may not have time to search for the examples I mentioned. I did tell you where examples of the usage could be found.
