Pat: LMCS/LMDS is a cell based broadband wireless technology operating at 28- 30 Mhz. The XDSL (S or V) are all copper enhancements. SDSL operates at 1.5Mbps Duplex while VDSL is 13-52Mbps one way and 1.5Mbps outgoing. Cost optimization imposes severe restriction in distances for XDSL transmissions.

It would appear that the blend of Fibre and LMCS will offer better
speed, cost and reliability than the Copper and Wireless combo.
