Roberto has asked me to respond to your following
questions. I am the VP of marketing and would be happy to
answer any queries you may have regarding our marketing
efforts.

>1. What is eta for HMAPPS Windows 95/98/NT platform [and Windows 95/NT
>(CGI & ISAPI)

NT Version (CGI & ISAPI) of HMAPPS will not be available
until at least October. While there is considerable
interest in this platform, we must await the next version
of HTMLscript's engine to complete the product. We
anticipate a new build in early to mid september.

>2. XMetaL [announcement] eta?
We currently plan on a formal announcement in November
(15/19) at SGML/XML98.

>3. Will there be a HoTMetaL 4.0/Power Pack rerelease/relaunch, new
>packaging?
We do not plan on a bundled HM4/PowerPack product/package.
However, we will be making a number of important product
announcements on or before August 13th.

>3a. When is Power Pack out of beta?
We have completed our beta testing of the Power Pack,
although it still carrys that designation on our download
pages. These pages will be updated in the near future to
co-incide with the aforementioned product announcements.

Additionally, your recent posting in Silicon Investor was
brought to my attention. Net Objects entered into a joint
promotion deal with iServer about 1 month ago. Fusion got
site-wide ads in the navigation frame as part of the promo.
Unfortunately because we are a listed business partner of
iserver those ads also appear in our partner page. Our
timing on solidifying a relationship with iServer
precluded pre-empting this promo with Fusion. We will be
launching a "Power Partner Promo" with all our partners
including Iserver on Sept 1.

Robero has been kind enough to forward a number of
comments, criticisms and suggestions you have made
regarding our marketing efforts. I appreciate your
perspective and can assure you that despite any appearances
to the contrary marketing has not ended at SoftQuad. In the
next few weeks I hope you are pleasantly surprised.

Regards
Jonathan Sachs
