"Van Oppen said, ''We have been spending heavily to support new facilities and staff required to develop OEM sales channels and sustain high rates of growth in our library business. Both hardware and software opportunities in our ADIC and EMASS brand businesses look sufficiently attractive to justify these levels of investment.''

The Company cited its OEM supply agreement with Dell Computer Corporation, recent success of its Scalar 1000 library and continued corporate adoptions of its pioneering Faststor product as examples of the opportunities justifying continued high levels of investment.

And I like the way he tries not to hype the stock (or perhaps make things look better than they really are!! Who knows?), he says:

''Although we have been disappointed this quarter, the Company continues to expect improvement in sales and earnings over the next few quarters,'' according to van Oppen. "

Exactly what does he mean when he says "the company continues to expect..."? Was there any time that the company did not expect their sales to improve?!!!!!!!!

Anyway, what is amazing to me is the fact that the 50% drop in the value of stock over the past 3-4 weeks or so kind of implied that ADIC will show big losses! The stock is currently at near its book value of $6.5/shr and is selling below its revenue per share! Unless I am missing something it seems this stock is practically being given away at this time! Am I missing something here?
