If Clinton steps down then Al Gore becomes president.
Is this what people want?

I think the poles indicate that the American people
are willing to accept what this man has done in this
particular situation. That doesn't mean we are going
to tolerate a president that lies or cheats. It means
in this particular instance with this particular man.

I think people are willing to do that is because this
was a personal matter and not a national or international
issue. Even though he lied, it involved a personal
matter.

We should hold the president to the highest standards,
however, every president is also a human being capable
of doing whatever any other human can do.

Several past presidents who are considered great presidents
have done things that would not be considered of high
moral character so should we re-write the history books
and say these presidents were not worthy of the office
of president?
