I am not in the habit of slamming companies that I don't have an investment in but in this case I am going to make an exception. Yesterday morning I attempted to purchase a computer via Gateway's Internet site. I placed the order, indicated that I wanted someone to phone me so I could give them a credit card number and received a purchase order number: 52,360 No one called. I e mailed the company and requested someone call. No e mail response, no call. This morning I called 800 846 4208 and tried to give someone, anyone my credit card number. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes!!!!! I was asked for my telephone number and told someone would have to call me back. It is now 5:00, a day and a half after I tried to give this company my money and I just placed another call. I was told the wait would be 10-20 minutes. This time I asked for the complaint department. I was cut off after about 11 minutes. I called again: told the person my complete story: He said he was connecting me to billing; 10 minutes later I got to billing, she said sorry we have no record of you and I asked her if she had any stock in the company. She said no. I said good thing. advised her that I no longer wished to purchase a computer from this company. She said thank you and hung up. I am now pretty sure the cow in the commercial is the sales director. Good luck with your investment you are going to need it.
