GRC, I doubt you're going to get detailed patent analysis here.

I'm not a patent lawyer, but I've practiced law for over 20 years. From what little I understand, the analysis of the value and enforceability of a particular patent is complex and often requires years of developed technology (and often litigation between parties with competing claims) before the value can be ascertained. And then, the value may be inseparable. The tech world is filled with a complex of patents that together make up complex systems. Some patents never turn out to be worth anything.

This is not to say OMKT's patents are or are not worth anything. Its just to say that the analysis of their value is probably beyond the scope of this board. One might pay tens of thousands of dollars for an analysis of the value of a particular patent in the context of a due diligence for an acquisition. That sort of analysis is unlikely to find its way here.

I note that you've posted a lot in a discussion about the Internet Patent. So, perhaps you've more patent experience than I. In which case, I hope you'll correct the record if I misunderstand the patent situation.

What I find more interesting and encouraging is the continuing investment in OMKT by money I'd consider "smart" ... Intel in June, and more recently CMGI, which has proven the ability to pick winners and develop them in conjunction with its other investments and strategic partners. If OMKT did not have something distinctive and valuable to offer, I doubt that CMGI and Heights Capital would have bought 1.3 million shares at about $15 direct from OMKT.

Just my opinion, for what its worth. I bought my first shares of OMKT in August of last year, under $11, after watching it since it came public. I bought my most recently acquired shares last week.

These depressions in Net stocks have come every two years or so. They are volatile. In both directions. Which is why I'm accumulating at these price levels.
