Steven, Hi!!! CHINA.......CHINA......CHINA......CHINA.......CHINA..... Let's talk China...... Given the fact that I have had quite sometime to visualize and establish a series of dreams about this topic.....And, what I have felt to be a growth opportunity for Dell that no one could exaggerate.... there is a funny thing to say...a growth opportunity for Dell....as if every area they go into they don't conquer <<gg>> .... Needless to say I was overwhelmed as I watched Michael discuss his first public opinions on TV with regards to this area of the world.......it's old stuff by now.... but, I first went big time into Dell in January of 97 on the info I had read concerning Dell's plan for China...frankly, I love the entire concept of the direct sales approach with this untapped country starving for technology.....Dell is IMO the perfect fit for this environment...reading and collecting every article on this area has given me an opportunity to dream for extended periods of time...well, this morning when Michael started in on this subject with the bold and proud statement: "YOU'LL SEE PRETTY RAPID ACCELERATION IN THAT BUSINESS" Whooooooooah!!!!!........I guess he caught me off guard talking so frankly and openly about this dream topic.... for so long I have been waiting to hear him elaborate on China....something new for the collection....here was something being tossed out that even the remaining 2 or 3 skeptics could ponder upon....immediately he follows that statement with: "THE MARKET IS MOVING FROM INDIRECT TO DIRECT AND THE STRUCTURAL ADVANTAGE WE HAVE IS NOT SOMETHING EASILY COPIED OR EMULATED" Hold on Kemble this guy is talking about your dream...Now.....I'm so pumped I'm ready for the finals.... this is not a dream....he's really telling me Dell is soon to be conquering China.....but, wait pay attention kid...that 25 second attention span is on full throttle here....he concludes by totally stunning me with yet more projected food for dreams.... "SO THE SHARE WILL GO TO THE MOST PROFICIENT PROVIDER.....AND THAT'S DELL!"........... The interview wasn't over....he talked some more .....words that I am sure glad I captured on tape.....I couldn't think or even react.....I starred and gazed...dreaming and I knew it....but, I couldn't stop dreaming....yeah, almost started drooling too.....here I was just fixated on the TV and he was talking about more aspects..subjects that normally would have me focused with total concentration....but, I couldn't focus....I was like the kid at the top of the stairs and my mom was turning on the Christmas lights and "the moment" was upon me....I was dreaming again...Michael talking about China put me in that dream again...but, my mind had enough kinesthetic sense to make one move....I picked up the phone.....dialed my broker....and BOUGHT MORE DELL....the addiction is real...and that's no dream!!. WILL I EVER HAVE ENOUGH DELL? Best, Kemble
