I'm not surprised that he doesn't like the sector. It's got all of
the features that somebody whose business is money would hate. The
biggest difficulty for somebody like him is that there are problems
in this sector that are fundamental to the underlying technology, and
a fellow like Cramer hasn't a prayer of seeing if some new product
or strategy is baloney or the answer to everything (or somewhere in
between). Obviously he wouldn't care about not understanding it if
it were going up, but right now it isn't clear what's going to
happen next, and all his expertise is useless to him in trying to
guess...
