High-tech stages a revival
...The comeback was especially pronounced among the 20 high-tech firms headquartered in the Ottawa region. The group of 20 reported second-quarter profits of $26.6 million -- providing a dramatic contrast with last year's $197.7-million loss.

Much of this reversal reflects the improved situation at Ottawa-based Corel Corp., where losses have shrunk to $12 million from $163 million.
