Dear Achilles, Coming from a Jewish history I can understand Gibbon that people have used the title of Christian to perform horrendous acts of cruelty. However, when this would happen the true Christians would shine in contrast by their love, courage and compassion. This has been very educational for me and I find it interesting. As we can all see our world is becoming more and more violent. The decay of morals is taking our freedoms away. The honest people are forced to live in a defensive mode and lock our children in. Can a leader with absence of morals and courage help to take us in a different direction? The only solution is to love our neighbors and put time into the children without direction and support. After that we all need to pray a lot. May the Lord bless you and keep you, Nancy
